In everyone’s imagination, pink is a color that is associated with the universal feminine, especially in the area of childhood: traditionally, in fact, the bow we attach on the front door when a baby arrives is pink for girls and blue for boys. And yet it is interesting to note that it was not always this way: before the 19th century, in fact, pink was the color associated with babies and infancy, regardless of gender. This was, probably, for the naïve and delicate nature of the color pink, which is well-suited to childhood and innocence.
In addition to this primary quality of calmness, pink has other features which make it an invaluable ally in the month of May: the color pink, probably also for its dual meaning in the Italian language as a color and a flower, brings to mind images of nature reborn and serenity, in which we can relax and with which vibrates in harmony. And, therefore, is the perfect color for easing the mind during particular times of stress.
From a psychological point of view, then, pink brings with it all of the qualities of red in the field of interpersonal relationships, without, however, the passion load typical of red: pink assists, then, in the building of interpersonal relationships based on openness towards others and the balance of emotions.
In the physical realm, a treatment utilizing pink light has beneficial effects especially on vision: often in spas there are areas dedicated to color therapy, and regulating a beam of light in a room with the frequency of pink has beneficial effects on the eyes, especially when they are particularly tired due to working in front of a PC.
